Crossing the Void is a solo exhibition of Laurent Martin "Lo", a French sculptor. The exhibition is named after one of his artworks.
The identity of the exhibition we want to show the emptiness and dreadfulness of leaving a mental void. Along with his works which mainly made with bamboo and ceramic that embrace the characteristics of the mediums:
Bamboo is very durable, flexible and strong.
Ceramic is resistance to heat and corrosion.
The balance between two different materials and the way the sculptures hold themselves.
Under all the chaos in 2020 we wanted our viewers to connect and heal when they were in the show by showing the beauty of nature, the balance, resilient and the strengths of the mediums.
